This Lancit thing bothers me, but fortunately it is very cheap. Still, I'd rather see that $8M turned into fiber lines. If RCN makes any further ventures into content, I'll be out of it... I have to admit that the Erol's acquisition also troubled me. I wanted to see RCN laying fiber as fast as humanly possible and marketing it as hard as possible. A DEAL with Erol's would have made sense, but now RCN OWNS a money-sucking ISP, only a small fraction of whose customers are anywhere near an RCN fiber line. I think what we are looking at here is an attempt to grab mind-share on the east coast, wich may be smart...it's hard to say. I bought them for the profit potential which I don't want to see dissipated by delusions of grandeur. I'm at a loss to evaluate what they're doing but I guess I'll hang on, "letting my winner run".
