Yeah, the news from NEC and AMAT really squashed what was beginning to look like a strong sustained rally. The Asian markets were strong last night. AMAT says instead of layoffs, it might close down its lines for 12 or 14 days this year. There may be more problems from Japan when some of the weaker chip fabs announce their inevitable cap cutbacks in the next few weeks. Really, NEC is the strongest of the bunch. It's been a delight to discover REAL and Orbotech. Hey Gottfried, better reconsider foreign corporations. ORBKF is up to 40 and I'll swear, it still looks cheap. Nice product, nice business. Anyone buying Cymer? There could be another round of Cymer-fever now that they have a credible source of earnings for the next 10 to 15 years. The bulls are for sure the most rabidly loyal stock fans since Iomega. With the possible exception of outright cult followings like JMAR and SVG.
