TSO:

I too find the 95% number hard to believe.

I'd be happy with anything above 75%. Suspect utilization is higher than 80% - how much? No clue.

(Having said that LSI "may" be operating at a very high capacity however. As of 6 months ago, this was after all supposed to be the strongest quarter for LSI in the past 2+ years.

Nevertheless Corrigan did mention revenues this q. about equal to last quarter's and that flies in the face of 95% capacity. Though I think LSI will beat the revenue and earnings expectations this q. it would be extremely unlikely to see anything over 350 million. We can hope for more but that does not change reality. )

The person on the Yahoo board making those claims appears to me to be a fraud. The mistakes he makes are not small ones. I think I saw him mentioning 100% capacity. Since when has LSI ever operated at 100% capacity? He is also too zealous. Exclamation point philia.

If he is aware of new orders he would presumably be someone higher up and I don't believe someone higher up would normally write so poorly and irresponsibly. His spelling is weak.

Also the "personnality type" does not gel. He does not appear to have much in the way of "engineering smarts". The personality appears to be one of a "salesman" and not a logical kind. LSI probably hires some pretty sharp types and his personna just does not seem to match.

He's also yanking stuff off this board and couching it in his words. The capacity issue is something I've been harping on and he's picked up on it at about the same time I was repeating my case for that. The best one was the 30 million PlayStations being sold. That was posted by Tom on the 27th at 6:01 EST and on the 27th at around 11:30 EST he used the same 30 million number in his post on the Yahoo board.

He's faking it. And he might be an SI member.

(But that does not mean that all he says is garbage. I think LSI is doing all right and though LSI may get some part of the TCI deal, I would not count on a TCI deal or any others until the ink is dry and the announcement has been made.)
