I think we all knew that Bandai wasn't going to be able to effectively make a go of the Netbox business. Not when they were charging upwards of $700 for their system.

AIME may be able to make a go of it given the connections that they have with Zilog and MSU, but the jury is still out on their efforts.

Competition is going to be hot and heavy for them as MSFT will fight to maintain their marketshare with WebTV. However, I believe the market is expansive enough to allow competition some breathing room.

I'm hopeful that something concrete will occur in 1998.
