Another "laymans" point of view. If ISDN uses POTS, then why would the phone company charge so much more for the "installation" and more each month for the service? When I inquired about ISDN last year I vaguely remember them saying they had to pull a new wire? If this is the case it would be more cost effective to pull a Fibre cable. I agree, Fibre is the way to go. It will just be a matter of time before we all have it. The short term money makers, in my opinion, will be the companies making the switching equipment linking POTS and Fibre. Anyone have info on who is making this equipment? Wether it be the cable co's or the phone co's, they will all need this equipment. Luck to all!
