I also find this to be an excellent post. If an investor follows stocks on message boards, he must wonder about the motivation of the many posters who sit on a board, but appear to dislike the company and constantly harass it's investors. In the case of shorts, they may believe they can contribute to driving down the price (a doubtful premise). For others the incentive is not apparent. Maybe just the power of anonymity?? While my main interest is the stock being discussed, I think the psychology of "thread villians" and negative posters is a area worth further exploration. Incidently, tonyt is a relatively mild pest. Aside from an obvious personal enmity for Henry, he mostly just sits on the board and revels in any fall in the price. How or whether he actually invests in Ligand is unknown.
