Mike...The volume and the price a stock trades at are independent. You are saying there is an even split betwx price and volume. Not so. I went back and added upt the number of shares that traded above $34 since the merger announcement and it was about 280 million. About 20% of the total shares outstanding. It took far less than that to bring the price down.
IMO the market is very sensitive right now to news on CPQ simply because of the unknowns of the merger. Normally an unknown dweeb like Gardner would not have made a ripple. Look on my past posts for a couple analysis on Gardner.
Loki...Yes Gardner did drop his earnings est. on Dell from $3.45 to $2.56 on Feb. 13, five days before they released earnings. see
