I don't think it is that bad. Think about it this way- first you think about babies (did your ankles and feet swell when you were pregnant?) I think the feet are connected to the babies. Maybe the toenails are like babies- ie pieces of you that fall off. Perhaps you are thinking of this as a huge loss, hence the nails piling up. I see the ocean as healing, release (come on you just read the Awakening) where grief and burdens can be washed away. I can't seem to work in the refrigerator but I'm working on it.
