My post #1384 is not so different. Oracle obviously has an easy sale if they are already the DBMS of choice where they are flogging the BI Tools. If the co. is getting into Oracle DBMS or applications, it won't take too much to get a good deal on their BI Tools since Oracle wants your entire business. What they cannot make upfront in license, they can take on maintenance for years. But at present Oracle BI Tools is probably very small part of their overall business, although I don't have any break down to argue the point one way or the other.

My investment horizon on BI Tools is not that long. At some point, I do intend to get off my positions on BI Tools co. because even though the market is growing it will start to mature. At this point, market caps are still reasonable and there is still opportunity but there are also a lot of other beaten up stocks where up side is greater.
