Jim, please don't scare the bears away. I need them to buy the puts I write!

BTW, I've been reading & listening to a great number of discussions both on this thread & from the investment community. I believe we're in the midst of a paradigm shift re. valuation methods for certain dominant global players in the tech industry. There may be justification for a p/e of 60 or 80 even with a 40% earnings growth rate. Coke is a perfect example outside the tech industry. MSFT is probably the first true example in the tech industry. Ultimately, it becomes a function of branding - product positioning - or in the case of DELL corporate branding. Procter & Gamble invented branding but were only really dominant in North America. In fact, very few multinationals fit the description of being like Coke & Microsoft - truly dominant & focused global players. DELL may be starting to be viewed as such by Wall Street.

A bit heavy for a Saturday night but what the heck good food & great wine always do it to me.
