What a disaster. I tested the modem in my machine, and it
connected at 48K first try. Just like my GVIL modem. Then
I made the long drive to my sister's house. Three hours
later, I left cussing Win95. I can deal with Win NT, but
'95 makes me nervous. But I am not sure that the problem
is Win 95. I bought the GVIL modem because it has a
traditional PC UART interface, accessable to both DOS and
Win NT, as well as Win 95. But from DOS debug, when I sent
a character, the transmitter holding register empty and
transmitter empty status flags never became set. I have
never seen this situation.
