Larry -

I'm impressed. I even lost track for a while there
what stocks I held and whether I was long or short in
this sector.

As you've noticed, I'm still actively tweaking my investment
approach... It's been a tough year, but fortunately my
wife doesn't allow me to play with the retirement $$$

RDRT was my first love(along with IVAC.) Bought after reading
about how great the DD sector was in MM's CTSL newsletter.
Thought I'd found a gold mine! Bought the stocks, lost
my butt. It was about that time that I posted my famous
analysis of WDC vs QNTM and got humbled by Lawrence...
Man there's a lot to learn huh? I then decided I'd better
learn more about the sector.

Shorted APM after really learning what a position they
were in. Made a bundle, but was still in love with RDRT.
I'm still trying to get over her. I ended up shorting
and covering successfully on APM 3 times. I think I'm
better at that game than going long.

All during this time I bounced around in SEG/WDC/QNTM
RDRT/HMTT. Almost everything I owned was in the DD sector
basically. Finally sold almost everything in early Jan
and learned the comfort of diversification... I can
actually sleep comfortably at night now! Still play,
but my core stock holdings are a lot bigger now.

The billion shares comment was a joke obviously. I just
found it interesting as others did how most people
will buy stocks on advice of "experts." The guy had a lot
of mistakes in that article. It's fascinating to me
how easily you can be mislead by these experts only to
be bitten later when what you read or heard wasn't true.
RDRT is far from qualing on 5 2.8GB pgms.

My core portfolio contains a lot more stocks now,
only QNTM in this sector.

I still play a little bit to keep interested, but on
a much smaller scale. 3 weeks ago I bought WDC and
shorted 1/3 of the amount in APM/RDRT/HMTT. Plot the
price of WDC vs those and it's been pretty nice since
Jan. What I was really hoping for was an announcement
of IBM buying WDC... Think about it. I still think
RDRT and HMTT will be in a good position once this all
works out.

I jumped in a year ago to set the world on fire!
I've gained a lot of respect for the work it takes
to be successfull in this market. I owe a bunch to
many people.
