Well I don't remember BAT saying anything about winning the 1994 EV America competition. What I see them say is: << B.A.T. has been instrumental in demonstrating that high performance EVs can be built cost-effectively to meet fleet and consumer needs. B.A.T. EVs outperformed every other vehicle in the EV America 1994 Federal/Utility test.>> baat.com From what I understand being able to accelerate from 0-50 mph in 13.50 secs is one of the many parameters of the test. It seems none of the participating vehicles met that that particular standard.
