Re : to x86 stuff

Edward,
1. IDTI's proceessor is not an infringement on intels x86
original design.
---->
Don't know the details but Intel has a patent known as the
"crawford patent" that pretty much has to be violated in
order to produce an x86 clone....I am on real weak ground
here and am just repeating what other have said.

2. It is not strategically in Intels best interest to haul IDTI in the court.
----->Well this was my point as idt becomes a bigger threat....
as in more and more successful at selling the C6
then it will be in intels best interest to try and stop em.

Can other companies enter the x86 cpu market ?

Uhm ... not likely that many if any companies are willing to
undergo the associated risk & cost.
----->Ed this has all been changed by Mr.Henry's simple design.
You do not need all of the exotic logic to make a pentium
class cpu .......he proved this amd and cyrix have complex
designs and I was not saying other companies will follow
the complex design approach rather they will reversed
engineer idt's relatively simple design and flood the
market.

Intels' hastened move away from socket 7 is an attempt to
remove box maker acceptance from the 3 amigos. ( IDTI,
NSM, AMD )
---->agree but this keeps looking like there big mistake
they as in intel should have kept the pentium socket
7 around for the low end with upgrades like c6+ and k6+3D ect.
Intel should have made the PII only with slot2 and only for
the high end for at least thru 98 now they have been caught
with a big hole in their product offering

The reason Henry is praying for AMD's success is that without
sufficient volumes , box makers will turn away from socket 7 .
AMD's volume is greatly needed until IDTI can get heavy
volume of their own on the market.
----->ABSOLUTLY

Will we have another asian flu ? I hope not , but you may get
lucky & have another chance this stock. But don't hold your
breath waiting !
---->Actually I am not holding my breath....I am day trading and
doing pretty good .... but the best part is I go to bed
every night with a 100 percent cash position. The asian flu
may have run its course but i really doubt it ...as far as
getting back into idt .....i said i might ....it is still
high risk especially with the overall market conditions
being the dog and idt just being a flea on the tail.
