Pratt9999, Kzap007,Irvinesully90210,TraderGreg10", all others take a number. Some musings on this price/news paradigm, and about 12 hours of pent up frustration while Ma Bell and Ma nature whittled my phone lines down to 0. Mike Millis and I talked a little about the movements of the past, the bad karma from some of the rumors and some of the company's own pr blunders. I solidified my thinking on what I think will take place. There aren't many secrets left about what the company does, where they are doing it, or the expected outcomes. Any news that comes out will be pretty much verifiying what we expected. News about the various ventures will probably move the price slowly upwards. I think Mike mentioned that he was trying to get news out every two weeks or so. What he thinks will really get things on track is when they start posting consecutive quarters of increasing profits. The numbers won't lie and should furnish proof positive that things are going well (pun intended). He expects the third quarter to begin showing profit and start the ball rolling. I, emphasis on the me in I, don't expect any earth shattering news to be divulged. If people invest thinking that they will announce a cure for cancer based on chicken fat, and it doesn't occur, then the price jitters and surges, only to trail away again. I am starting to think of this as a very diversified conglomerate of exceedingly boring businesses. They appear to be very lucrative, if not sexy, and have potential for tremendous revenue production. I think it's the "news" of the revenue production that will sustain increasing prices.
Future generations will look at this company like Beatrice and say, we don't know what the hell they do, but they're doing a good job of it - just look at the numbers. All this muttering on my part is to try to forestall expectations about some electrifying news moving the price into the stratosphere. The news about the chicken fat well would have shoved this from 2.60 to 10.00 last year. Now it's a blip. In terms of numbers, it FANTASTIC! It's like the inversion of the Bre X gold mine, only documented. I don't know what numbers Mike will put in his document on LPS, but it's another gold mine, from what I can follow. Now I'm rambling, even to myself. Watch the quarterly earnings reports over the next 12 months, and show them to your friends. Save them for 10 years, and show them to your enemies.
Mike
