Isn't S/A a measure of how long it would take to cover all the shorts?
If so, you'll notice that the shares short was flat between 1/98 and 2/98
but that the average daily volume doubled. Hence the S/A was halved.

It doesn't look like anyone has covered yet.

BTW, while I believe that SyQuest is performing better than it has
in years from a product point-of-view, the 150+ million shares outstanding
means that it will never reach $5 again in my mind...
