My guess about the Syquest rise is the announcement of a new SyJet with probably 2.1/2 Gig capacity. Why I figure? The on-line price for SyJets now are down to about $265, as they may be trying to blow out inventory of the older model. Syquest has been shown to be very good at concealing new products, as the SparQ took everyone by suprise, and ended up being exposed by a brief flash on a web page somewhere only a couple of weeks before release.

However, I wouldn't rule out OEM announcements for 4.7 Gig Quest either (Avid or Digidesign might be including the drive in their new offerings), or both announcements together. Look for a big pop upward of SYQT stock if this turns out to be the case.

As for IOM, all of the good news is already out. Jaz2 shipping, Buz shipped, Zip sales keep humming along-- yet the stock price fails to rise. If all of the good news is already figured into the current price, then what happens when something bad comes along? Take for instance losing another round in court, or earnings warnings for 1st Q?

I would not like to be in IOM stock, as it fails to rise on good news, and takes a beating on anything remotely bad. Plain and simple.
