Sorry to steer the conversation back to sunw. But first I will say, though I missed getting into Dell in the winter when it was weak and cheap, that Dell is obviously a better stock to own than sunw. I don't think anyone would deny that. Of course, dell is a much bigger company than sunw, almost 3 times bigger, so the question is how much more room does dell have to expand versus sunw. But for the next 2 or 3 years at least dell does look like a much better bet. Actually since sunw hasn't kept up with the broad advance of the hi-tech group over the last year, a decent number of companies have now passed it in terms of market capitalization.
Anyway, I think that sunw is looking a little weak right here. It got upgraded by I think 2 firms and couldn't manage to hold its gains, not an encouraging sign. It looks like sunw can't overcome 50. I think it will require some good news to get over that hump, like an earnings surprise, or some big announcement. When so many other stocks are in a bullish posture (see the chart of Dell again) why bother messing with sunw. I should admit I've done great with sunw since I bought it a few months ago. I've already doubled my money on it. Sunw was the first stock I bought which reversed my horrible losing streak from the fall. But I think I've milked all I can out of sunw and it needs a rest for a while. I don't think it will collapse just go sideways for a while. Until sunw either decides to compete with NT or figures out a way to make money on java it's probably not going to set any records.
