Sonny, the issue of conversion costs is not what I'm getting at. Presently, there are, say, X shares of INTC outstanding and Y shares of INTCW. Gives us a total universe of X+Y total outstanding shares of some form of Intel. By the end of next week, there will only be X shares of Intel. No new shares are being created by the conversion. This shrinking universe should have the same effect as a buyback of Y shares unless I am missing something.
