Greg (& Richard Forsythe & Chia-Bin Wang);

As I understand the structure of stock issuance for Intel, the shareholders are *required* to vote any increase in the authorized number of shares for the stock.

If this is true (and I believe it is) then any stock split that would exceed the authorized shares could not take place until the sharehoders increase the authorized shares. Since the authorized shares is a *limit* that takes shareholder approval to *increase* the authorized shares would not increase with a split.

If the board can increase the authorization without shareholder approval, then I would expect to see an anouncemnet quite soon for a 2:1 split.

Greg - if you have other information (or a pointer to it) I would like to be educated.

Regards,
dmg-
