I follow this thread as it has good ideas and discusses relatively
very good biotech companies. If the group doesn't mind, I'd like to
mention a few that might be considered in the future.
1) IGEN---though this has gone from 5 to 20 recently, I still think
this is a very undervalued company. I think it should be over 40
conservatively. there is also a dispute going on with boehringer mannheim/roche over how much revenue should be counted toward royalties. This will probably be settled in favor of igen and would make the conservative estimate much higher IMO. They also have other things going on that seem likely to do well in the near future. You can check the Igen International thread.

2)SEPR---this seems to be liked here already.

3) LGND---this is also already being discussed here.

4)CYTC---cytyc has the thinprep which seems to be likely to replace
the pap smear. It has been recently depressed over a blue cross
report saying it is not cost effective. Of course, I think they are mistaken, but the report is not available to the public yet. I see this as a continuing buying opportunity. Cytyc has done a good job getting reimbursement approval from a number of insurance companies, and continue to do so at a rapid pace. Also, revenue is rapidly going up quarter to quarter.

That's all.
