Erick. I see that XY has not answered yet. If you are a warrant holder and have bought the warrants on the open market there is no tax consequence when you convert. I am not quite sure what you mean by this holding period being set back. I think you will use the time and price when you bought the warrants and just add the 20.875 to it to get your base price when you sell.
