Here's the ad in the "Daily Breeze" Diabetes Research Potential for Losing Weight and Controling Blood Sugar The ucla center for human nutrition is seekin men and women with diabetes for a 16 week study of an investigational medication, *Leptin* that many lower blood syugar levels and decrease weight. Participants will receive free physical exams, electocardiagrams, diet counseling, lab tests and ingectable medication. To qualify, you must be at least 18 years of age and your diabetes must be treated with Glipizide, or glucotol, not insulin, for no more than 6 years. Blood sampling is required, and some participants will receive a placebo (inactive substance) If interested........ I'm going to call the number that's listed to see if they will tell me what drug they are using.
