"MPEG, on the other hand, makes a one-chip solution for all applications. It is to be priced some in the range ($50-$200). They are really undercutting CUBE!" MPEG doesn't make anything yet. Just a promise. Cube makes shipping solutions that range from low end to high end. They have far more experience in encoding that Innovacom does. When and if they get thier chip up and running they will have to deal with the subtle problems of MPEG encoding. Cube is already past those issues and understands them completely. Do you really think that CUBE won't apply that knowledge and comeout with a cost effective single chip MPEG2 encoder that works?
