Sergio,

Y2K sector: You did'nt say I was going to have to read the entire internet! That's okay, I did it anyway.

Dr. Yardini is the main doomsday guy in the US concerning Y2K. Reading on though his following the problem could be monumental if not dealt with.

Basically 2000 becomes 1900 on Jan 1 2000. So much for elementrarys, I'm not dealing with dummies on this thread. Leap year, which 2000 is creates a double wammy because of the extra day in Feb. Simply put if you go to the ATM to get your 20 bucks for the week, You were never a customer because it is not 1900. Same for brokerage trades, interest earned, mutual funds etc.

The fix is in, but not fast enough for some folks to do all of the testing, configuration, beta and then retesting in the non corrupted enviorment. SEC says that 95% of the SRO's are on the mark for their time table. Banks are moving even more rapidly. Gov't is dragging their feet a bit, but starting to wake up.

Now to the part WE want.

There a just over 100 co's coming along with software/testing solutions for Y2k. Being the fast guy that I am here are the best of the crop so far: KEA..CHRZ..CBSL..IMRS..PLAT..TAVA (old TPRO) ATEC is iffy. Okay I stole the list from Tony Keyes website...shoot me.
