Dear Mr. Murphy, Just a couple of questions that I can't get the answers to: 1)Is the Grant Thornton audit complete or will they need more time? Whenever I have contacted their main U.S. offices in Boston, they tell me to address this question to you. 2)When the SMTK shares become unrestricted in March, will we begin to liquidate our position? Also, when sold, will we have to pay tax on these shares at corporate tax rate of 34% or capital gains rate of 20%? What rate of tax on the $4,000,000 of appreciation can we expect? 3)Have you noticed positive changes in European operations since the Jan.98 start of deregulation? As always, THANKS in advance for your replies and keep on fighting for our company. Soon we'll get the respect we deserve, along with some sweet revenge from the short termers. Go get 'em Joe! KL
