gary, yeah, democrats're scaring the public with newt, been doing this for a year now. don't see him mentioned a lot otherwise. btw, have you noticed that my point was not that newt has faded away as a house speaker, but as a scare. admitt it, newt scare has peaked out, and it's hard to see it to be a major tool in 2000 elections. i just saw a republican local comercial where the democratic scare piece was shown in a small frame, and the voice and text said just that "they're trying to scare you, blah blah blah, it's all lies". anyway, four years from now things are gonna be not the same.
