Why would outgrowing Janis Joplin's influence be critical? I tend to take whatever I have been struck by in the past, and add to it, without rejecting early influences, because they have become a part of who I am.
Geez, I could use some cheap thrills now, Ignacio. Your anger seems misguided, since I am open to your ideas and feelings, for sure. Don't go weird on me, though, or I will close the lovely flower petals of my being. And I do suspect Johnny listens. Like you, however, he goes away and mulls things over, without becoming a blithering idiot on the threads about them, and then comes back with an answer.
