However, a semicolon goes to the right of a quotation mark. as does a colon. Gary Korn said, "Buy Ascend": or was it Gary, not Korn? Everyone's desk should have a copy of Strunk and White's "Elements of Style"; that, and a good dictionary. Just doing my part to get to 38,000. :) Pat
