bob,

your approach looks very well reasoned and makes a lot of sense. however, i have a difficult time understanding how you can abandon (sell) as part of a short term trade a stock that has reached your goals. many of them may be good for a run up for more than a year. don't you find you wish you had hung in there longer.

no matter how much analysis you do to protect against earnings and news surprises you cannot avoid the asinine impact of analysts. it seems as if in this nervous market, they have undue influence. when such coverage sharply tilts a stock downward and one can find no external explanation then there may be a steady source of bargains.

this is something i would like to study.

nice to read your approaches. they are very informative insight to a thought ful player.
