True. The risk of an institutional dump is always there and they can't dump what they don't own (except for shorting).

Micron (MU) a couple of years ago is the classic example. Jeff Vinik (?), a major Fidelity fund manager (magellean?) was saying publically the MU was a core holding while he was actually dumping it.

Still, bears here have growled and growled about low institutional ownership being proof of the street's aversion to IOM, it's business plan, and its products. The fact that institutional and insider ownership seems to be increasing at a time when the little guys are bailing makes me pause and wonder what their DD might have revealed to them about whether IOM's glass is half full or half empty.

Even with their deep pockets and intense web of connections for doing their DD, they still might not have the avantage of the unowho's analysis from this thread.

DELL news ...... gotta love it! Power users with a potential for HUGE tie-ratios to help off-set some of the "what's this Zip thingy" owners in the home oem boxes. MICRON, IBM, DELL -- it's getting more and more difficult to hear the bears grumbling above the roar ofapproval from the BIG oem's. Don't these guys know that they should be putting in superior sighquest stuff?

If a bear f*rts in the woods and no one is there to hear it.....it still smells like cr*p.

---that's it for me, gotta go ski!
