Inc. (NASDAQ:SMOD) and Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ:RMBS) announced today an agreement
that enables SMART to design, manufacture and sell Direct Rambus(TM) RIMM(TM)
modules. "SMART's expertise in module design, engineering, manufacturing and
test will be a key component to delivering Direct Rambus RIMM modules to the
industry," said Allen Roberts, Vice President and General Manager of Rambus
Inc.'s Memory and Technology Division. Like existing Rambus(R) technology
currently shipping in PCs, consumer electronics and communications systems, the
Direct Rambus technology will support high system performance at low costs.
