I'm sorry you don't believe in this "don't know until the last minute stuff". I've been a senior exec in several software companies, private and public, including a CEO... I'd love to say that good management has situations under control, but the reality is that too many deals are happening in the last week of a quarter. You can make some predictions, but there's always uncertainty.
