I think I remember reading that PostModern (the company with the ORB that Visigenics purchased) had some kind of a transaction object. I don't exactly remember what it was I read, but I think it was something to the effect that they had implemented an ORB feature that allowed for them to keep transactional integrity. I don't think Iona has implemented any such feature, although they claim that just about everything is coming soon. You're right, they are pretty good at forming alliances with everyone.

As far as C++, I totally forgot that they had a C++ CORBA implementation...C++ definitely is ready for prime time.

I read an article last week in the Wall Street Journal about venture capital firms and noticed that Visigenics was mentioned. I knew that the management was involved previously with Informix, but I didn't know that the founder of Informix was also the founder of Visigenic. This is good. I think I might actually buy it. I also have been watching it for a while.
