To the chartists. Any comments would be welcome. AMAT volume has declined recently. AMAT has traded under 10 million shares per day for each of the past five days, and each day has been successively lower while the market in general has shown some strength. I understand the company-directed share repurchase program was concluded in the last 10 days. I imagine that, despite the relatively current low share price, management is not likely to resume purchases in view of the uncertainty of company sales and may be taking a conservative treatment towards cash. I guess my question is where does the volume play into this 38 point ceiling and 35 point floor. Do you think the company's repurchase program was providing some timely support? AMAT couldn't buy on the upticks so it didn't drive prices higher. I haven't heard of the directors taking action on a new repurchase program, which would be a reportable event. What should we be looking for in volume figures relative to price advances or declines?
