Daniel,
I hope you don't mind. I saw your post and sent it to a financial analyst. He responded as such:

Jan, this young man is on the wrong track. He is interested in making
$3000 out of $300 in a few months but doesn't want to lose any. He needs to learn what investing in stocks is all about. I was once told
after a whirlwind first year as a broker trading options: An older
broker A.B. Jones, who had taken me under his wing said "Tom, ain't but one way to make money in the stockmarket"
I responded "How's that A.B."
and he responded "Slowly".

I have never forgotten this comment and he has been dead right for the past 23 years I have been in this business.
This boy needs the same advice. He needs to forget the high tech/high wreck stuff and settle on quality names that will be in business longer than he is alive. I would start with buying $300 worth of either CPB or PFE or KO. As he takes more money out of his savings he can diversify.

He must, however, lose this get rich quick scheme he thinks is possible.

If he starts now and systematically buys quality stocks, he will retire a millionaire at 40. T

Jan
