Good morning one and all.
First and foremost, I will extend a public apology to all on the forum. In the cold light of day, I realize that I was definitely out of line with my weekend post to 'shorty' (in form anyway; I still stand behind the points I was trying to make). I agree with all of those who have criticised me that this forum does not need this kind of ad hominem attack (no matter how warranted).
The problem here is that many of you look at this situation as a dispassionate discussion of opposing viewpoints. If it were only so! When you see an obvious agenda to manipulate people it is hard to stand idly by and say nothing. It is doubly hard for an Italian! :-) And there is an agenda here make no mistake about it.
Criticise me all you want, but I do not see anyone criticising the individuals on this forum who perpretate character assassinations. Are these individuals not deserving of the same criticism as me? Of course I make myself an easy target for you whereas they are snakes in the grass who slink around tossing a bomb here and a bomb there only to quickly scurry back under their rocks. I ask you, which one of us is the more dangerous? Unlike these snakes, I have never had an agenda on this forum (or any other forum) other than protecting my long position in KRY. This I have always made clear. The critics here seem to take great pleasure in criticising the slightest infraction by the longs and turn a blind eye to anything the shorts do. Yeah, you guys have displayed the wisdom of Solomon.
If you want to act as forum police and/or cast stones, please do me a favour and be equitable. Yes, my frustration at these individuals got the better part of me this weekend. And yes, I could have conducted myself better. But look in the mirror people. Who among you has not been guilty of these same sins and, if you must judge, who among you can genuinely claim that they have been impartial judges of this forum's posters? |
