Biotech guru Mark Lampert has added to his MCDE shareholdings. According to an
SEC 13D filing last week, Lampert's Biotechnology Value Fund (BVF) picked up
another 197,700 shares of MCDE from 12/23/97-2/20/98 at prices ranging from
$7.3125-$8.75. BVF now holds 1,184,000 MCDE shares, about 11% of the shares
outstanding.
