One more question:

Someone mentioned the other day that the Tempest currently will handle 24 ports or the equivalent of 1-T1 line which is 24 voice/data channels. That is correct.

They also stated the Tempest used 2 channels to accommodate a voice conversation so a maximum of 12 simultaneous conversations can take place while using the Tempest. Is this correct??

One T1 voice channel can accommodate a complete call and 1 complete T1 can accommodate 24 simultaneous calls. I believe the Tempest uses the T1 the same way - 24 (not 12) simultaneous voice channels. Is this correct or am I wrong?
