This is for everyone's information!
Since its launch last Friday, my website has had over 900 hits, and almost as many emails. I am responding to the following from Tom Worley who says he does not participate in the SI. However, I did obtain his permission to copy his email here for everyone's info. I thought it worthy a response not only to one individual, but to all investors. Each of Mr. Worleys questions are divided with parallel lines, are in quotation marks, and numbered:
(1)"I would appreciate some background on you and what your relationship was to GIFS. From some of your comments, I gather you are a former employee, could you identify your job title and describe your duties?"
I was sent to GIFS by a downtown employment agency in the fall of 1996 and was hired there about a week later at a rate of $8.00 per hour. I was hired to develop a GIFS website and work in Investor Relations; my positions were entirely clerical as I had little or no knowledge about the stock market. I was given the title, "Information Manager." My duties included just about anything that needed to be done, but I mainly worked on the website, answered email from dictation from Mike Rehtorik, typed and put out the press releases, etc. Basically I handled all clerical work for Investor Relations and this included working as a liason to help investors with their problems. _____________________________________________________________________ (2)"Have you traded the stock for a profit, or did you in any way benefit from the scam other than thru your employment?"
Absolutely not. However, I do understand that at least one other employee held a large block of stock. This was,by the way, Deborah Evans who handled all in-house dealings with FAST, the GIFS transfer agent. I wonder if she was busy transfering shares to herself during the exchange offers? _____________________________________________________________________ "(3)I would like your permission to post your website to the shareholders group (about 120 individuals) as well as passing it to the SEC (if they do not already have it)."
Granted. The purpose of my website: personal.cha.bellsouth.net is to have a forum for investors. I watched as the Liquidator pulled-the plug on the GIFS-INC.COM site even when it was getting over 100 emails a day and hundreds of hits. _____________________________________________________________________
"(4)I am particularly interested in any documentary proof of Gayle Essary's involvement, in particular his personal knowledge, of the fraud and deceit and scam that was done."
We all are. I know that Essary had arranged to get an advance copy of all press releases. I know that he authored the press release dealing with Mohamed's criminal past. I know that Essary, Cella, and others were all in cahoots. I often wondered if they were not, in fact, the same person--using different names. ______________________________________________________________________
"(5)I have tried to find an attorney to take the case for the shareholders class, but with no identifiable assets it is difficult."
I know that Mohamed attempted to transfer property to Cristian Gibson, his protege in Costa Rica. I know that there were at least two Delta/Omega accounts set up. I am trying to find out more. ______________________________________________________________________ (6)"If Essary is liable, then so is Waaco and its affilliates, and it may bepossible to finally get a class action going.I am particularly interested in establishing the date when the SEC had cause, or should have had cause, to suspect a fraud. If this was prior to when they halted trading, do you have any info or even opinion on why they waited?"
This matter is still under investigation. I cannot comment at this time. _____________________________________________________________________ (7)"I am still attempting to locate Mo, as well as trace where the money went from what appears to be the sale of fraululently issued shares. If you have any info that can help with either effort, it would be appreciated."
This matter is still under investigation. I cannot comment at this time. _____________________________________________________________________ (8)"Any statements or opinions are strictly my own and not that of my employer. My comments should not be interpreted as a recommendation of any kind. I am a licensed (inactive) broker and an active investor. All investors should dotheir own research prior to any investment, especially one learned about on the Internet. Hopefully my comments will better inform and educate all investors.
tom w" NOTE; This is apparently Mr. Worley's signature disclaimer and offers some good advice! __________________________________________________________________
