Larry, Re: "1. You think a ''half-day'' means leaving at 5 o'clock." Maybe. However, at least the employees, if they stay at Intel long enough, can make some meaningful $$ on their stock option and/or stock purchase plans. One of my routes home from work takes me past the National Semiconductor plant. No matter what time I go by (5:30 to 6:30 or so), the parking lots are chuck full. Check out the comparison charts: techstocks.com Tony p.s. I "did time" at National back in the 70's. p.p.s National has been around longer than Intel. Gee, they aren't quite as big in terms of revenues or profits are they?
