Here's the post from DEJANEWS... ------------------------------------------------------------ Im in a trial now and have had the following experiences: At 40mg. there was no effect. At 80mg. the drug has zero ability to initiate an erection but it does tremendously intensify an erection if you are capable of getting one. It will also greatly increase the duration: one half hour, perhaps more. To keep the erection for extended periods some stimulation is required, albeit not very much and it does not need to be continuos.
My particular variety of E.D. renders me totally incapable erection approximately 30% of the time. During these periods (which can last for days or a week or two) Vasomax is useless and I long to use tri-mix with which I had great success. Unfortunately, the test protocol proscribes the use of any other drugs. The remainder of the time I am able to achieve some degree of erection (usually only for a short period, inadequate for satisfying sex) and it is then that Vasomax is a very useful adjunct. It will reliably increase size and rigidity to a springy hardness every bit as good as with tri-mix. The duration of the effect seems to depend on the continuation of at least intermittent stimulation. It may last an hour or two but I cant attest to this from personal experience.
I have found Vasomax to be very useful within its limits of capability. I have had no negative side effects other than a little wooziness for a while. One takes the two 40mg. pills and 30 minutes later stimulation produces a totally serviceable and durable erection without any anxiety about the possibility of priapism (at lest so far). After stimulation has stopped for a while the erection slowly fades. The rigidity goes first leaving a fat, heavy penis for two to three hours. I have found that until the erection is gone completely, stimulation will bring it back! This has proven to be a nice side benefit. The lack of achy penile pain after use that was so common with the prostaglandin E1 family of drugs (Alprostidil, Caverject, Edex, Muse etc.) is another nice benefit as is the fact that you dont have to inject it. Injection is really no big deal anymore though. I got an Instaject device and it WORKS! But this will be the subject of another post.
I like Vasomax and if it makes through F.D.A. trials I would buy it, provided they don't charge an outrageous amount of money for it, like the $25 a dose they get for Muse and what they are sure to charge for Viagra. If Zonagen is smart they will opt for a price point of $3 to $4 a dose and sell a boatload of it and capture a huge segment of the market. Otherwise they will be crushed by Viagra, assuming it works as hyped.
I guess I am now officially delurked in this n.g. I hope this letter answers your questions.
