Al the planned ARM NASDAQ offering was a surprise

ARM has $30 mln US in sales with 4 owners holding 35 mln shares:

" ARM's 35 million presently-issued shares are held by Acorn, 43%; Apple, 43%; VLSI, 7%; and NIF (Nippon Inv & Fin.), 7%. There are also employee options on an additional 8.8 million shares. "

A sample US market cap would be 2 X annual sales or $2./shr , but ARM is an emerging technology supplier whose 6 business units have formed development "partnerships" .

This link better describes ARM's "unusual" mission:

arm.com

If ARM retains a form of royalties through its development partners , who now includes INTC , this could be a "hot" issue priced to make even Dell look cheap .

If you could , please post a link to the 21 December 1997 Sunday Times article on ARM's planned offering .
