Just letting you all know that as of today, the conversion center told me that allocations will be on Friday and Saturday and they will begin trading sometime next week.
Regarding the opening price, I guess we're all taking a wild guess here. I think that $16 is a fair guess. I do believe that there will be a lot of selling at the opening and the stock will drop a somewhat during the first week due to selling pressure. However for those of us NOT in a rush to sell $20-$25 is not an unrealistic expectation for 12 months from now. If you check out all there thrift conversions, they all do very well. I just keep shooting myself for not holding on to Greenpoint. I had 1,666 shares not that much, I sold it for a $3 profit. If I had only held on... The stock today is in the 70's. I would not have a mortgage on my home. This time I'll hold on to Independence for a while and hopefully reap the benefits.
Good Luck to all!!!!
