Sun, Netscape: Probe MS!
www5.zdnet.com
Sun Microsystems Inc. and Netscape Communications Corp. are urging a broader antitrust investigation of Microsoft Corp. the day before the three companies testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Instead, the companies are urging a sweeping antitrust case that would look into separating Microsoft's (MSFT) applications from its operating system or breaking up the company. Until now, the DOJ probe has focused only upon Microsoft's alleged violation of a 1995 consent decree preventing the company from tying certain products together.

I wonder what the odds of this happening would be? Hmm breaking up MS you got to love it.

MS has the worst consumer electronics product that I have ever seen and no solution in sight for the poor consumer except for the NC. You have to wonder how long they can keep the average consumer sucked into such a terrible product. The only advantage they have so far is company recognition and a monopoly which they presently enjoy. If they lose the monopoly how long will the company recognition carry the worst consumer electronics product into the future? Time will tell I guess. They seem to be trying to change with zero admin but can they make it work?
