Hi songw, read the article on AVAX Technologies (AVXT)anti-cancer vaccines. Sounds like they are doing wonderful things. Not aware of any connection to Merck. My initial reaction is that this news will probably help put more money into AVXT's stock, but until these new methods go through phase trials and get FDA approvals they aren't marketable. I noticed that there are several news items dating back into November stating how AVAX Technologies is planing to work with FDA with various vaccines for fighting cancer. As much as I think this may have wonderful possibilities for cancer treatment, my own knowledge of the various approaches for attacking cancer is nil. My reaction right now is skeptical.... because it generally takes so long to get these treatments approved. My next reaction is that the major pharmaceuticals are probably watching this, and if they see strong potential with the technique one will make a buyout bid. Laura
