<<I for one, am going to give this company and it's equity one more month to "regain street confidence" and begin rewarding it's investors.>>
It sure is hard to sit back and watch what's been going on since december. The production decline for the 4th Q, and the response to it from the street, as well as the nearing approval of Viagra, has put this stock price about 6 months behind where it should be. Sure, there are a couple of other factors at work, but the main thing is the issue Dr, Bond brings up. Just how long should a Vivus investor sit and wait til he is shown light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.
The dip in share price was expected because of the anticipated approval of Viagra. But the other things that have gone on in the past few weeks, have magnified this dip.
Unless Viagra is some kind of wonder drug, and no one knows for sure, Vivus should begin to recover over the next few months as MCA and FDA approvals are announced, and some of the expected 20 new international markets are announced. And you have to also factor in the remain payments due from Astra., Vivus has only received some of the $30 million agreed upon.
Can we expect to see improvement in a month? Tough call.
MCA should be done deal by then, and FDA close. But throw Viagra into the mix, and one month out is still cloudy for me. We could also have additional international approvals announced in that time frame
One other note, Vivus could potentially pop upon Viagra approval. Seems to me all ships rise in a sector when good news comes.
