Stockman, I do not agree. They seem to have the .25 line at 70% if you believe the pundits and disagree with Paul, and why abandon it if it works. We of course must wait for confirmation of this. However extra sales in parallel if they can make more CPUs makes sense of the new selling areas. Of course Intel can cut the price to $50 each and shoot a few more toes off, or perhaps the whole foot, but i think not. This quarter coming)April/June might be a surprise. It also is the prelude to the slow summer and everyone expects a sales slump of some magnitude. Some smaller major players will be forced out as well as hundreds of dealers will close this summer all over the USA and the world. They call it tier squeeze, the direct model by Dell and others will make the screwdriver shops the only ones able to compete due to the absolute standard volume items they buy. (case, Keyboards, motherboards etc are all huge volume items, bigger than CPQ,Dell etc in volume as they all use them all over the world, at tight margins)

Demand will inded soften, but will concentrate into the screwdriver shops and the majors.

Bill
