Harry, Contrary to posts on this board, I'm not sure that everyone knew of JNJ's decision last week. I don't think that those who bought large blocks at $5 are very happy tonight. The bid and ask will begin to move at 8:00 AM and AMLN will open at 9:30. I suspect that the price will be sliced in half and I don't expect a significant recovery until there is some indication that the drug is approvable. I thought that the last set of Type I data was borderline and Type II data was not approvable. I'm not convinced that the new trials will show a marked improvement, and the JNJ decision will shake the confidence of most investors.
AMLN is still a company heavily dependent on Amylin (and derivatives) and until they can show that they have an approval drug for a reasonable market, buyers will be in very short supply.
