Musabi, thanks for sharing your concerns about the eMate termination. Guess this just goes under the category of "Yet Another Tough Decision Apple Had To Make." A longer list than we all would like.

Let me ask you this. Does the fact that the eMate still does everything it did when you bought it, and the fact that it works with pcs and macs, make its discontinuation a little less troublesome after you've thought about it a bit?

And more importantly, would a healthy Apple Computer that keeps on delivering more affordable, faster systems overcome the negativity you and your colleagues feel as a result of the Newton/eMate decision?

Hopefully you will be getting a lot more slack from the higher ups if Apple keeps A) making a profit and B) delivering high performance systems at mid-range prices. The G3 servers are perfect for schools too, are they not?

I'm not too happy about the loss of the eMate either.

Marc
